Requirements to qualify for study financing as a gifted
Applicants who are classified as gifted based on their academic performances are exempted from the having to choose a study listed on the priority listing of studies and qualifications.
Indicated by type of degree or type of education:
- VSBO/HAVO/VWO/SBO/MBO/HBO/WO: students with an average final examination mark higher than or equal to an 8.
- CXC CSEC: students that have sat exams in 8 subjects of which:
- at least 6 subjects with a score of 1, and
- no more than 2 subjects with a score of 2
- CAPE: students that have sat exams in at least 6 units of which:
- at least 4 subjects with a score of 1, and
- no more than 2 subjects with a score of 2
- IB: students with a total score higher than or equal to 39
- GPA (0.0 – 4.0): students with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher
- GED old format (2002-2013): students with a score of 580 or higher
- GED new format (as of January 2016): students with a a minimum test score of 185 for each subject
